Although Hawaii is generally popular for its stunning beaches, volcanoes and perfect temperatures, that’s not the only thing going for this state. Believe it or not, Hawaii also has some great outlet shopping to offer residents and visitors alike. Although this state may have fewer outlet mall locations than some of the other states, what they have is quality.
-- Pearlridge - Located in the Honolulu/Oahu area, Pearlridge is in the city of Aiea, HI. This outlet mall location also happens to boast one of the largest outlet malls in the states with around 225 name brand stores and services plus 40 restaurants. So if you are lucky enough to find your travels deliver you to this area, take some time from the beaches to shop among names like American Eagle Outfitters, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Fredericks of Hollywood, Gymboree Play and Music, Lids Locker Room, plus plenty more. You can also find a variety of services such as health clinics, plastic surgery, real estate and legal services. Enjoy some recreational time at the Pearlridge West Theatres for a movie, some pampering at Pala’zio Salon & Day Spa or find some art at Tapestries by Hau’oli. Grab a bite from local or regional cuisine choices like Great Khan, Hawaii Crepe Company or Pearl’s Korean BBQ.
-- Queen Ka’ahumanu Center - Possibly the next biggest outlet mall location in the Hawaiian Islands is Queen Ka’ahumanu Center with just over 100 stores and almost 20 eateries. This one can be found around Maui in Kahului, HI. Shoppers love the bargains they find here. Choose from brand name outlet shopping at stores such as Champs Sports, General Nutrition Center, Pacific Sunwear and Radio Shack. There are things to do, like the movie theater, and also some places to eat or snack such as Panda Express, Fernando’s Mexican Grill or Ramen Ya.
Heading to the Big Island? Although not as big as the other outlet mall locations Hawaii has to offer, Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo, HI still has just under 70 stores and services in their listing. In addition to insurance companies and spas, those who want to shop can hit up beloved brand names like Famous Footwear, Hot Topic, Macy’s and Zales Jewelers.
If your travel plans include hitting the Honolulu/Oahu region, there are two other malls aside from Pearlridge.
-- Royal Hawaiian Center - This location has some of the highly sought after brand names such as 7 for all Mankind, Apple, FENDI, Juicy Couture, Harley Davidson Honolulu and kate spade plus plpenty more. Food is available at places such as Kenny’s Hawaiian Express or Maui Tacos.
-- Waikele Premium Outlets - Still over 50 plus stores and about 4 eateries, this location is also popular with visitors and residents. You’ll find more of the popular names in fashion like Adidas, A/X Armani Exchange, Michael Kors, True Religion Brand Jeans or Vans, plus a wide variety of other well-known names. Grab some grub at Sakura Sushi or Quick Thai, as just a couple of the possible options.
When it comes to hitting the outlet malls for shopping while in Hawaii, this may not be your first priority, but you should include it on your vacation itinerary for some great shopping deals.
